2005 J24 World Championships
Two J24 teams on different sides of the globe will combine to contest the 2005 J24 World Championships, to be sailed in Weymouth England.
The worlds will be sailed in September at the new Olympic venue in England.
Fun Racing team based at the Cruising Yacht club of South Australia and skippered by Alyn Stevenson will combine with Plymouth boat Ju Ju.
The team will represent Australia sailing Italian built boat JU JU.
The team will consist of Alyn Stevenson (skipper AUS) Peter Stevens (tactician AUS) David Stone (former world dinghy champion UK), Ian Parkinson UK, Sue Proudfoot (owner – bow UK)
Both teams have climbed the rankings in the respective countries and should prove to be a formidable team.
In preparation for the Worlds the Australian will do some club races in Plymouth before competing in the English Nationals.
